
Tofu Adobo
A delicious vegan version of Chicken Adobo

Chicken Adobo, but make it vegan. We are not averse to meat substitutes and that it can be scrumptious just proves this traditional Filipino dish.

Ingredients
- 2 peppers Dried Chilli without Stem
- 2 tbsp Peanut Oil
- 5 g Trassie (Fried Shrimp Paste in Block)
- 1/2 slice Palm Sugar Slices
- 100 g Coconut Cream Block (68% Fat)
- 2 cubes Broth Cubes Pho Ga (Chicken)
1 tablespoon of garlic
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Chive leaves for garnish
Preparation method for Tofu Adobo
- Fry diced tofu in oil until lightly golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.
- In a sauce pan, combine the soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns and sugar. Place the pan over medium-high heat and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Season to taste and add a little water if necessary to thin the sauce.
- Thicken the sauce with the diluted cornstarch before pouring it over the tokwa and garnish with some chive leaves.
