Hoisin sauce is originally from China. Hoisin literally means seafood. However, the traditional sauce itself contains no seafood but is made from soybeans, rice vinegar, chilli peppers, garlic and sugar. The slightly sweet and spicy Flying Goose sauce is delicious with meat such as Peking duck, but can also serve as a base for dips and marinades.
